How orcala works within Reddit's rules

Last updated: 26 June 2026

orcala is an independent tool that runs in your own web browser and works only on Reddit pages you have already loaded under your own account. We built it deliberately to stay inside the boundaries Reddit sets for how its platform and data may be used.

This page summarizes the Reddit policies we reviewed and the specific commitments orcala makes against each one. Reddit's own policies, as published and updated by Reddit, remain the controlling authority — the links below point to the source of truth.
